Toot turns 5

Our precious daughter Makenzie turned 5 years old this week. She is such an amazing little girl and our family is so blessed to have this precious child. She helped me bake a birthday cake and had a very small celebration Wednesday night. Instead of a party she has chosen to spend a funfilled family day at the zoo complete with a picnic. Weather permitting we will do that this weekend, if not then another weekend. She is so excited and has been talking about all of the animals she is going to see all week long.
She is into video games now just like her older brother so we got her a pink nintendo ds for her birthday. She thinks she is just hot stuff. My parents got her a pink bookbag with her name on it since she will starting school in the fall. Its hard to imagine my little toot toot starting kindergarten and she couldn't be more excited. She walked her paperwork right into the office, handed it to the lady and said, "I can write my name all by myself". She is not shy, bashful, or any other word you can fit into that category. She is very a bright, energetic, adventurous little girl that is always on the go.

Dance

Makenzie has been taking dance this year and has really enjoyed it. She does ballet and tap, ballet being her favorite I've noticed. Last week they got their recital costumes and we of course we had to try them on the second we got home. Ben saw how much fun she was having and insisted he put one on too. I totally plan on using these pics as blackmail if necessary down the road. :) Her recital is May 15th so check back for some updated pics of her all dolled up.

Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter complete with egg hunts, church, fun with family and friends, and a visit from the easter bunny.
