Benjamin's 4th Birthday

Our sweet little "baby ben" turned 4 years old this month. Definately no longer a baby but now a big boy. He is slightly train obsessed and chose a Thomas the Train birthday this year. He was surrounded by family and friends and had a wonderful celebration. We are truely blessed by this precious little boy.

Weekend at Holden

We recently took the kids to the beach for the weekend. It was so nice to get away and have some time just the 5 of us. We stayed at my parents place in Holden, went to Broadway at the beach, visited Ripleys Aquarium and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was cold and windy but the kids enjoyed a few minutes on the beach, putting their toes in the sand and running around. Its so very different in the winter when the beach is completely empty.

Harmon Hayride

Every year some friends of our have a big fall party, The Harmon Hayride. There is more food than you can possibly imagine, hayride, bonfire, cow train, corn box(like a sandbox but with corn), sack races, etc... It is a blast!!!

First soccer games of the season

1st day of school

Today is the first day of school. Owen is in 4th grade this year and Makenzie is in 1st. They popped out of bed before I had a chance to wake them up this morning. We are all excited to begin another fun year.

A new friend

John worked late tonight so me and the kids rode bikes up to the neighborhood playground to enjoy the fabulous weather. We made a friend on the way.

Beach weekend

This past weekend my parents kept the kids so that we could have an adult weekend at the beach. It was me, John, my sister Jessy and her husband Ryan. John and I have never taken a trip without the kids and figured a couple of days away would be nice...and it was. :)

Smith Mountain Lake

This weekend we went to Smith Mountain Lake with my Aunt Donna, her husband Dorn, and my cousins Allison and Austin. We had a fabulous time and can't wait to do it again.
