Pumpkin carving

Carving the pumpkin is always such a disgusting project but the kids just love to do it. Owen and Makenzie had a ball playing in the pumpkin goop, Ben wasn't too thrilled with it. He touched it with the tip of his finger a few times but didn't have it up to his elbows like the other two. He was more interested in picking up the seeds and throwing them back into the pumpkin. It was very cute. We decided to go with the vampire look this year. Of course he is a nice, happy vampire.

Mabry Mill

John and I took the kids to Mabry Mill today, located off the Blue Ridge Pkwy right inside Virginia. The kids really enjoyed themselves. It was a perfect fall day, a chill in the air and the trees were beautiful. They got to see how the mill works, blacksmithing and weaving demonstrations, played in the leaves. It was a great day.

Birthday Dinner

Last weekend we went out to dinner for Victoria's 21st birthday. We went to Bravo at Friendly Shopping Centre, sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful time.

Soccer/Dance

Owen is still enjoying soccer and is playing again this fall. Makenzie has taken an interest in dance and loves it. I loved dance as a little girl and its just so exciting watching her love it as I did.
