Candle Tea 2010

We continued on with our annual tradition of the Moravian Candle Tea. My mom and dad started the tradition in 1976 and has carried on over the years. The kids really enjoy going year after year even though its always the same. Unfortunately Benjamin wasn't all that crazy about it and fussed thru most of it. Hopefully next year will be better with him. The kids got rock candy, just like every year, including Ben and Emma. They have a band that plays christmas music in the street while we wait in line. Ben really enjoyed that, he kept putting his hand to his ear saying, "listen". It was really cute. We finished off the evening with dinner at O'Charlies. Overall a fabulous afternoon/evening.

Polar Express

In the past year Benjamin has discovered and fallen completely in love with trains. Friday we went on a field trip to Spencer to the NC Transportation Museum. He got to go on his first train ride. It was called "Jingle Bell Express" where they ride the Polar Express wearing their pajamas, get a golden ticket to ride, get a jingle bell, an orange (an old railroad tradition) and hear a christmas story. We had alot of fun, especially Ben.

Greensboro train switch yard

Ben is totally obsessed with trains so while we were out and about today we took the kids to the Greensboro train switch yard. Ben thought it was so great and didn't want to leave. Looks like a trip to Spencer is in our near future. :)

Visit with Santa at Mommy & Me

I took the kids to Mommy & Me consignments this morning to visit with Santa and take some pics. As I expected, Benjamin did not like Santa at all. Cried from the moment I put him on his lap until I got him down. Oh well...maybe next year.
